Deirdre of the Sorrows

Deirdre of the Sorrows

Today we had our annual play in the school. It was performed by the Clan Cluana theatre company. The play was called Deirdre of the Sorrows. It was about a girl who had a spell on her. If a man looked at her, death would not be far away. The King of Ulster Conor Mac Neasa wanted to marry her. She ran away from him with Naoise. She had a pet fox called Rua. In the end she died from a broken heart because Naoise was killed. I thought that the bit when she met the fox was the best part. I liked the play because it was very funny.
