Our School Tour 2016
On the 9th of June 2016 everyone from 1st to 6th classes went on a school tour to Kilcullen. It was an early morning for everyone because we all had to be at school for 8:20am for the bus that was leaving at 8:30am. The bus was full of excitement on the way. We arrived at Kilcullen Community Centre at around 9:45am. Then we got introduced to our teachers or mentors or whatever you want to call them. And that’s when the fun started. 1st, 2nd and 3rd got split up into one group and 4th, 5th and 6th got split up into another group. First our group (6th, 5th and 4th) went to do an activity called Orienteering or for short a treasure hunt. It was a lot of fun because we had to run around a field looking for codes while holding iPads and taking pictures. When we were finished doing that we went back to the Community Centre and ate our lunches. After our lunch we went on a few bouncy castles called Disco Dome and a game called air ball. They were really fun. A little while later when everyone was ready we went outside to play Lacrosse. It is kind of a weird sport but I like it. After all the tough work in Lacrosse we went into the hall of the Community Centre and ate big lunch. After lunch we stayed in the hall a little longer and played wrecking ball bouncy castle. It was so fun. I fell down so many times. Then Claire, or mentor, took us outside where we split up into two different groups. My group were the first to go on the KMX carts. They were kind of like little bikes. We were on the carts for around ten minutes and the other group were in the human foosball. When the ten minutes were up we swapped around. For our last activity we went on a bouncy castle which was dark inside. It was fun and we had loads of races. In the end we said goodbye and thank you to our mentors. And off we went to MacDonald’s and ate loads of junk food.
