As today is my final day as principal of the school I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the magnificent retirement celebration in Hugginstown on Friday night. It was a brilliant night and I know that a huge effort went into it from the staff, Parents Association, Board of Management and by the Carrickshock G.A.A. club. I want also to thank Fr. Cassin , Fr. Hoyne and the local choir for the lovely mass. Thanks to Barbara for the beautiful cake. The whole evening was a joy from start to finish and it is a night that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir. It is hard to believe that thirty years have passed since I began working here. They have been thirty truly happy years and I want to say a sincere thank you to all the staff, pupils, parents and boards of management for making my job such a pleasure. It has been my privilege to have worked in this school and Newmarket will always be a place I will hold dear to my heart.
Slán agus go neirí an bóthar libh go léir.
